I got a New York state driver's license!

Today I passed the road test for a NY driver's license!!!
I failed twice...but finally I succeeded!!!

The examiner was kind and he told me that my English was good.
But he took away my international and Japanese driver's license, and told me
that he would hold them as long as I stay here.
Even if I commit a traffic offense and my NY driver's license becomes invalidated, I can drive with my international driver's license.
He did so to prevent the possibility.
When I return to Japan, I have to get them back.
It's inconvenient because I plan to go back to Japan a couple of times.
Actually, I think he didn't need to take away my Japanese license as well as
international one...

今日、やっと、運転免許のロードテストに合格！！
2回失敗したけど...3回目は合格できてよかった。

でも、試験官が私の国際免許と日本の免許を取り上げてしまった。
私がここにいる間は、保管しておくのだそう。
（私が違反してNYの運転免許が無効になっても、国際免許があればここで運転ができるので、それを防ぐため、ということ）
また日本に帰る予定があるのに、不便である。
実際のところ、彼は、私の日本の免許まで取り上げる必要はなかったのではないか、と思うんだけど・・・
