Geffrye Museum

I visited the Geffrye Museum in London.

The museum is located in the northeast of London, near the Hoxton station. I
headed for the museum from the Tower of London. I thought it would take about 30 minutes, but it took more than double. Some subway lines were closed due to
maintenance, so I had to get off on my way to Hoxton and have to take buses. It
was annoying! However, It was fun to walk in the streets. When I walked along
the whitechapel road, I noticed there were many Muslims. It is a resident area
for Muslims. I had learned that the population of Muslims is increasing in the
UK, but I did not know where they live.

The Geffrye Museum was great! Actually I enjoyed more than the British
Museum. Founded in 1914, the Geffrye Museum is specialising in the history of
the English domestic interior. The museum shows the changing style of the
English domestic interior in a series of eleven displayed period rooms from 1600
to the present day. The emphasis is on the furnishings, pictures, and ornaments
of the urban middle classes of London.

I am interested in lives of the middle classes. Also I love British interiors.
It was so exciting!
