The Antiques Garage Flea Market
日曜日（15日）は、アンティークガレージのフリーマーケットに行ってきた。
私が行ったのは、チェルシーにあるフリーマーケット（112 West 25th Street）。他にも、ヘルズキッチンなどで開催されているみたい。
毎週、午前9時から午後5時までの開催。
各ディーラーさんがお金を払って出品するようで、20から30くらいのお店が出品していた。
思ったほど大きくなかったなあ。
買った物は2つ。
一つは、ハリウッドのコスチュームデザイナーTheadore Van Runkleによる、映画"Mame"のデザイン画。
"Mame"（邦題『メイム』）は1974年のアメリカ映画。主演はルシル・ボール。
1956年にニューヨークで初演されたパトリック・デニスの戯曲『メイム叔母さん』を元にして、1958年に映画が作られ（邦題『メイム叔母さん』）、さらにそれが1974年にリメイクされた。
これは、そのときに衣装を担当したTheadore Van Runkleが描いたデザイン画。
もちろん現物じゃなくて、コピー。
5枚セットで50ドル。
おじさんに"You can speak English a little!?"とか言われながら（悲）、説明してもらった。
後は、1930年代のファッション雑誌（手書き）とかあって（$45）を見せてもらったけど、お高いので買わず。
使えるのは現金だけだったし。
素敵な額を探して、お部屋に飾ろう♪
もう一つは、シルバーのブレスレット。
最初は、店主のおばさんに「75ドル」と言われが、50ドルにまけてもらった。
シルバーとターコイズ、1950年代のヴィンテージ品ということ。
「いくらなら買う？」と聞かれて、「50ドル」と言ってすぐにOKと言われたので、そんなにいいものじゃあないんだろう。
でも、"mexico 525"（もしかしたら925か325かも？）という刻印があって、純正シルバーであることは間違いないようだ。
全体の感想としては、「アンティークマーケット」と言うよりは、「がらくた市」という感じ。
古い雑誌やポスター、写真などがたくさんあって、面白かった。
あまり、陶器や家具はなかった。
イサカのフリーマーケットの方が、モノ重視かなあ。
写真や雑誌なども、ニューヨークにちなんだものがたくさんあって、一つ一つから、土地の歴史を感じられるようで面白い。
値段は、イサカよりも高めかも。ピンが30ドルくらいしたし（イサカでは1ドルから売っている）。
On Sept. 15th, I went to the Antique Garage Flea Market held in Chelsea.
The market is held every weekend from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
There were about 20 or 30 shops, but all of them were not big.
I bought 2 items.
The first item was a drawing of Lucille Ball in "Mame (1974)" by Theadore Van
Runkle, a costume designer in Hollywood.
"Mame" is an American movie made in 1974. Lucille Ball started in the movie as
Mame.
The original version was a drama titled "Auntie Mame" by Patrick Dennis in 1956.
At first, the movie was made in 1958, and a director Gene Saks remade it in
1974.
It's a copy version of the drawings by Runkle who did the costumes.
I bought these five drawings for $50.
I'm going to look for a beautiful frame and garnish my room with them.
The other was a silver bracelet.
At first a shopkeeper told me that it was $75, but she discounted it to $50.
According to her, it's a vintage in the 1950's and it was made from silver and
turquoise.
I think it isn't so precious because she discounted it easily.
But I found the inscription of "mexico 525" inside, so I'm sure that it's sterling
silver.
I was so excited because there were many old things such as magazines, posters or photographs.
Interestingly, different kinds of products were sold in NYC from in Ithaca.
Also, the prices were a litter higher than in Ithaca.
