A Hip Hop tour

今日は、コーネルでヒップホップツアーに行ったので、その記録。
色々なめずらしいコレクションがキャンパス内にあって、面白い。

Today I participated in a Hip Hop tour on campus.
Cornell university has the Hip Hop Collection in the Kroch Library. It aims to
collect and make accessible the historical artifacts of Hip Hop culture and to
ensure their preservation for future generations. It's open to the public.

The instructor gave us an explanation of the Hip Hop's history and showed us the
collection. The Hip Hop came into the world in the South Bronx of New York City during the 1970s. At that time, the neighborhood was devastated and the
residents suffered from poverty. The origin of the Hip Hop stems from the block
parties which were mainly held in the neighborhood parks.

It was the main route to success for young people who lived there to become a
famous Hip Hop musician. The Hip Hop music has become worldwide music, but
the South Bronx continues to be the mecca for the Hip Hop music. Many people who are interested in the music come there from all over the world.

I enjoyed the tour and learned a lot from it!
