Karaoke in Syracuse
はじめてシラキュース(イサカから車で1時間くらいのところにあるやや大きな都市)に行ってきた。目的はカラオケ!
BBQもちょっとした観光も楽しかった。
Last Friday I visited Syracuse for the first time with my friends! It takes about
one hour by car from Ithaca to Syracuse. One of my friends took us there.
We went to Dinosaur BBQ and PALACE Music Studio Karaoke.
We also enjoyed sightseeing around the city for a short time before dinner.
I knew little about Syracuse, but I learned there are a lot of historical buildings. We went to the Clinton Square, where we could look over these buildings. There was a guide plate, which said as follows:
Several Syracuse banks sprouted here along the Erie Canal, each striving to benefit from the commerce of a fast growing city. When the first canal
section opened here in 1820 the settlement had 60 people. By 1900 its
population reached 108,000. Canal tolls, collected at weighlocks and toll
stations, were deposited in banks like those shown in this 1912 panorama.
The BBQ was delicious! Actually I do not like American style BBQ so much, but
this restaurant was great.
The purpose of our visit was Karaoke. Although there were only a few
Japanese songs, we enjoyed singing a variety of songs. I felt as if we were
staying in Japan.
Thank you friends!!!
